Q;    What vetting does a Luxafel kitten have before it leaves?  A; Our kittens have 2 *F3* vaccinations, microchipping, worming & are desexed.

Q;    What DNA screening do we test for?   A; We DNA test all breeding cats for HCM & PKD and many more illnesses. Kittens are negative by parentage.

Q;    What is covered in your health guarantee? We include a 3-year genetic guarantee. If your kitten were to pass away from a genetic disease within 3 years, we will replace it with another kitten (T&C apply)

Q;    Will my kitten be insured when it leaves?  A; YES, your kitten will have a complimentary insurance policy activated by you before you leave here with your kitten or when you arrive home.

Q;    Do our kittens have genuine GCCFV pedigree papers?    A; Yes, Pedigree papers are lodged after your kitten goes home in the name of your choice, and will be mailed to you once I've received them.  

Q;    When can I take my kitten home?    A; Usually from around 12-13 weeks old, but it will depend on the individual kitten, gender and healing time needed.

Q;    How do I transfer the kitten’s microchip into my name?   A; Microchip transfers are organised by me after you've collected your kitten. 

Q;    What do I need to travel with my kitten?   A; You need a pet carrier, preferably new and not used unless for your own pets, due to risk of contaminates 

Q;    What does my kitten eat?      A; We feed Royal Canin wet and dry kitten food and raw beef daily.  We expect you to continue the same diet at least until they are at least 18 months old. 

Q;    Is my kitten fully litter trained and what cat litter should I buy for my kitten?    A; Yes! Of course, our kittens are litter-trained here. We train our kittens with Catmate pine pellets,

designed to be used with a sieve-style litterbox and we encourage you to use the same. It is a good litter and helps to eliminate any litter box odours.​

Q;   Can I visit and play with the kittens?   A; We are a closed cattery which means we don't offer visits until your kitten is ready to be picked up, partially due to always having unvaccinated kittens here

and partially because our cattery is also our home and running both keeps me very busy. However, we send our buyers regular photos/videos to keep you updated until pickup day. We can also offer a live FaceTime .

The only way we would consider letting buyers visit is if they have already paid a deposit and wish to pick from several kittens. 

Q;    Can we keep in touch with Luxafel Ragdolls and get help & advice for the coming years?  A; Absolutely. Owners are always welcome to text us and keep in touch. We also have an FB group exclusively for my kitten buyers to share photos, tips etc. If we were ever to allow a visit, it would only be to choose your kitten, and it would only be after the kittens are vaccinated and you have paid your deposit first. ​

Q;    What will happen if my situation changes and I can no longer care for my cat?   A; We will always try to help you rehome if you have attempted all other options first. Rehoming should always be a last resort. 

Q;    Do I have to pay a deposit?  A; Yes, the deposit is $500 to reserve a specific kitten or to hold a spot on our waitlist for an upcoming litter.

The waitlist deposit is fully refundable if I am not able to offer you a kitten within 12 months of joining.

Once you have chosen a kitten, the deposit then transfers to that specific kitten and becomes non refundable for buyer change of mind but is fully refundable

or transferrable to another kitten or litter if your kitten becomes unsaleable for any reason.

Q;    How do I make my payments?  A; Both the initial deposit and the balance are paid via bank deposit. The final balance is paid when the kitten is 10-11 weeks old and must be fully cleared before your kitten can leave. We do not accept PayPal payments or payment plans. You will be given the bank details once you've been approved.
