About Luxafel Ragdolls

Hello, I’m Susan, and I am located in Pakenham, in the southeast of Melbourne. I am a registered Ragdoll breeder with The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy Victoria. GCCFV for short. I have owned pet Ragdolls for 20+ years and Luxafel Ragdolls was established in 2018 with my first breeding queen, Cookie, whose loving nature inspired the foundation of my small, family-based cattery. From the very beginning, my goal has been simple — to raise healthy, well-tempered, and affectionate pedigree Ragdoll kittens who embody the true beauty and personality of this remarkable breed💕

 

 

🐾 Our Breeding Philosophy

At Luxafel, my cats are pets first and breeders second. I am devoted to ethical breeding practices, focusing on temperament, conformation, and overall well-being — always prioritising quality over quantity. My queens enjoy long, healthy breaks between litters and are certainly not overbred to ensure their health and well-being. My kittens are proudly raised cage-free inside my family home, where they receive socialisation and lots of affection.

From their very first moments, I’m there to guide and nurture them — midwife, caretaker, and doting human mum all in one!

 

 

🏡 Our Environment & Care

My studs live in purpose-built, spacious outdoor enclosures, with regular access to our fully enclosed, secure garden. Studs can't be living inside, they are not the same as house cats. They spray a lot, and my house would be ruined and stink in no time at all if they were inside!  Our Queens, however,  live with us in our home where they raise their kittens. We do not raise or house kittens in cages in garages or girls raising their babies outside. There is no part of my home that my girls don't have access to!  Once our kittens are around 3-4 weeks old they move from my bedroom to the kitten nursery for more space and a much more stimulating environment.  Once about 5-6 weeks old and confidently litter trained, they can join us throughout the home to experience daily life, play, and cuddles.  This ensures they leave here confident, well-adjusted, and ready to bond with their forever families and are used to the usual household sounds.

Every kitten receives exceptional vet care, premium nutrition, and leaves with a generous kitten pack, health records, and my lifelong breeder support and friendship. I’m always just a message away for advice, updates, or simply sharing in your kitten’s milestones.

 

 

💕 A Note from My Heart

Due to being a small-scale breeder, patience is essential when choosing your new family member.  I may not always have the exact kitten you’re after right away — but all good things are worth waiting for. I breed only a small number of litters each year, and each kitten is a true labour of love. 

Hearing from families about their kittens’ smooth transitions and joyful lives is what keeps my heart in this work every single day.
