Welcome to Luxafel Ragdolls, your trusted source for Ragdoll kittens in Pakenham, southeast Melbourne. Here, you'll find answers to many commonly asked questions about our ethical and responsible breeding practices. Our kittens are raised cage-free in a loving environment, ensuring they receive the best care. We breed a limited number of litters each year and provide annual vaccinations for our entire cattery, working closely with trusted veterinarians. With every kitten purchase, we offer lifetime breeder support and friendship to help you every step of the way.
About Our Kittens
At Luxafel, all of our Ragdoll kittens are thoroughly vetted, receiving comprehensive veterinary checks and being desexed prior to joining their new families. We prioritise exceptional veterinary care and do not compromise on quality! Kittens are fully litter-trained from an early age and are well-socialised within our loving family environment to ensure a smooth transition to their new homes. Having said that, kittens will still need time to get to know you, after all, you are a stranger to them and so is your home.
We sell our kittens exclusively to indoor-only households unless you have a secure, enclosed garden.
Typically, Luxafel Kittens are ready to leave at around 12 weeks old, but this may vary.
What we breed
We currently specialise in breeding Bicolours and Mitted Ragdolls, with some featuring tabby/lynx patterns; however, currently we do not breed Pointed or Torties. Our colours mainly include Seal and Blue kittens, with occasional Chocolate and Lilac options, no Red or Creams.
Please note, we do not breed Minks, Sepias, or Solids as these are not recognised colours within GCCFV.
Our Vetting Procedures: What Vetting Is Included
Our cattery proudly maintains a DNA negative status for HCM, PKD, FIV, and FELV, ensuring that all kittens are negative by parentage. When a new breeding cat is brought into our cattery, strict quarantine procedures are followed, including vet checks and a full PCR panel, FIV & FeLV tests, before they are allowed out of their quarantine.
Each kitten undergoes a comprehensive vet check before leaving our care. They are microchipped, vaccinated twice, wormed, and desexed, (complete with an ear tattoo) and are flea-free. Additionally, all kittens come with a complimentary 30-day insurance policy which buyers will easily activate upon pickup. I highly recommend continuing your kittens' insurance policy, vet bills from kitten accidents can be thousands and if you let our complimentary insurance lapse and then the next day the kitten needs to see a vet, you won't be covered :(
What Do We Raise Our Kittens On
FOOD: Our kittens and cats are fed premium cat food and a quality raw beef diet with supplements.
We also offer human-grade freeze-dried treats like Chicken breast, Liver & Heart to their diet which they love!
We do not feed cheap supermarket brands, they are rubbish, and I don't want you to either!
LITTER: We use a premium-quality Tofu clumping litter. We use and recommend the Michu brand but there
are many clumping Tofu brands on the market to pick from. (some better than others)

We will send our buyers a detailed information booklet once you have paid your deposit, which will cover how to care for your
kitten after you take it home.
Our Kitten Pack
Our Kitten packs include a personalised folder with all their standard paperwork, including their microchip info, desexing certificate, Luxafel vaccination booklet, Insurance policy, and other items, including a kitten food pack, some freeze-dried chicken samples that they eat here, some raw beef (frozen) that they eat here, a fleece blanket, and some popular toys. Pedigree is mailed to you once I've received it if you want it.
Our Kittens Adoption Process
Once you've read through our pages, checked out our socials, and decided you'd like to adopt one of my kittens, please message me via the chat/contact us page with your details. Once we've had a chat and confirmed you are ready,
I will give you my kitten application form to fill out.
Once I've received it back, I will send you the account details to pay your deposit.
Waitlist
Our waitlist is a paid one; we do take a deposit to add you to it.
Positions on the list are allocated in the order of deposits received. We accept a limited number of deposits per litter, depending on the expected litter size. As genders can’t be guaranteed before birth, deposits for a specific gender are only accepted once the kittens are born and genders are confirmed.
Deposits & Payments
Deposits: The deposit is $650 to reserve a kitten or to be added to our waitlist.
If you are added to our waitlist, the waitlist deposit becomes your kitten deposit.
No kitten is considered reserved until the deposit is paid, and sadly, I cannot hold a kitten for anyone without proof of payment. The deposit is non-refundable for buyer change of mind, but it is fully refundable or transferable to another kitten or a future litter if your chosen kitten becomes unsaleable.
Our Prices
All prices are *from* until the kitten is old enough to see their patterns.
Obviously, a stunning show-marked kitten is going to cost more than a heavily mismarked kitten.
Please get in touch for individual kitten prices. All prices quoted are for local pickup.
Operating a full-time ethical breeding cattery involves substantial costs and 24/7/365 commitment.
Interstate Delivery/ Sales
We use only professional, reputable pet delivery services of our choosing to ensure the safest, most stress-free journey possible for your kitten. We will arrange the interstate transport for your kitten, and we can also offer and organise a premium door-to-door delivery service if you're unable to get to the airport yourself for an extra cost.
We only fly kittens Monday to Friday, no weekends. Flight departure times are listed in Melbourne time, while flight arrival times are based on the timezone of the destination state where the kitten is being flown to.
*Please note that flights and delivery fees are in addition to the purchase price of the kitten and are payable before the booking is made. When a kitten is flown interstate, food vouchers, insurance documents and photos of the vaccinations/desexing certificates are sent via sms so you have a digital copy. The vaccination booklet & desexing certificate are sent with your kitten, taped securely in or on the crate.
Kitten Visits
As a responsible registered breeder, the health and safety of our kittens and my cattery are always my top priority.
I want every buyer who reserves a Luxafel Ragdoll kitten to feel confident that their kitten is healthy, safe and not put at any risk while in my care. To maintain this health standard, we have chosen to be a closed cattery to visitors until pickup day.
I am sorry if you think this is unreasonable, but I do not and for good reason. I am generally very busy and do not have time to constantly entertain visitors. Also, unfortunately, visitors can inadvertently walk germs into our home from other catteries they've visited, their own pets or even other roaming animals. For this reason and others related to safety, we do not offer visits to our home until your kitten is ready to leave. We thank you for your understanding.
Retirees
We may occasionally have retirees available to loving forever homes.
When we do, they will only be offered to pet-free homes and may not be suitable to homes with small children.
All retirees leave us up-to-date on their vetting and may only leave are once they have been spayed or neutered.
There is an adoption fee to cover their vetting; they are not free cats.
