Luxafel Ragdolls is located in Pakenham, S/E Melbourne. Our kittens are proudly raised cage-free in my family home.​
I believe in responsible, ethical breeding practices and nurturing our Queens, which means we have a limited number of litters and kittens available.
We vaccinate our entire cattery annually so everyone is healthy and protected and we have a trusted Vet that we work with.
About Our Kittens
All of our Ragdoll kittens are fully vetted and have undergone at least two thorough Veterinary checks and are desexed before they leave for their new homes. We provide quality veterinary care & treatments and don't cut corners on anything!
Kittens are fully litter-trained from a young age and well-socialised in our family to prepare them for their new homes.
They are sold strictly to indoor-only homes unless you have an enclosed garden.
Luxafel Kittens are usually ready to leave from around 12- 13 weeks old onwards, but this can vary depending on the individual kitten.
Patterns: We currently only breed Bicolours and Mitted Ragdolls, and often they are also tabby/lynx! No pointed or Torties sorry.
Colours: We generally breed Seal and Blue kittens, and occasionally we may have Chocolate and Lilac kittens. No Reds or Creams sorry,
and definitely no minks, sepia or solids sorry

What Vetting Is Included
Firstly, our Cattery is completely DNA NEGATIVE for HCM & PKD, FIV and FELV. Kittens are negative by parentage.
Kittens are always thoroughly vet-checked before they leave us.
They are always microchipped, vaccinated twice, wormed and are desexed with an ear tattoo and are flea-free.
Kittens leave us insured with a complimentary 30-day insurance policy, which the buyer activates at pickup.

What Do We Raise Our Kittens On
FOOD: Our kittens and cats are fed premium cat food and a quality raw beef diet with supplements.
We also offer human-grade freeze-dried treats like Chicken breast, Liver & Heart to their diet which they love!
We do not feed cheap supermarket brands , they are rubbish, and I don't want you to either!
LITTER: We use a premium-quality Tofu clumping litter. We use and recommend the Michu brand but there
are many clumping Tofu brands on the market to pick from. (some better than others)

Our Kitten Pack
Our Kitten packs include a personalised folder with all their standard paperwork, including their microchip info, desexing certificate, vaccination booklet, Insurance policy, and other items including a kitten food pack that is redeemable online, a fleece blanket, and some popular toys. Pedigree is mailed to you once I've received it.

Waitlist
Our waitlist is a paid one, we do take a small deposit to add you to it.
Positions are allocated in the order deposits are received — first deposit chooses first, second chooses second, and so on. We accept a limited number of deposits per litter, depending on the expected litter size.
As genders can’t be guaranteed before birth, deposits for a specific gender are only accepted once the kittens are born and genders are confirmed.

Deposits & Payments
Deposits: We require a 20% deposit ($650 per kitten) to reserve or to be added to our waitlist. If you are added to our waitlist, once you choose your kitten, that waitlist deposit becomes your kitten deposit.
No kitten is considered reserved until the deposit is paid, and sadly, I cannot hold a kitten for anyone without proof of payment. The final balance is due at around 10 weeks old via bank deposit, unless you've arranged with me to pay in cash at pickup. The balance must be cleared before collecting your kitten.
The deposit is non-refundable for buyer change of mind, but it is fully refundable or transferable to another kitten or a future litter if your chosen kitten becomes unsaleable.

Operating a full-time ethical breeding cattery involves substantial costs and 24/7/365 commitment.

Interstate Delivery/ Sales
We use only professional, reputable pet delivery services to ensure the safest journey possible.
We can arrange interstate transport for your kitten, and we can also organise a door-to-door premium delivery service if you're unable to get to the airport yourself. We only fly kittens Monday to Friday, no weekends.
*Please note that flights and delivery fees are in addition to the purchase price of the kitten.
When a kitten is flown interstate, food vouchers, insurance documents and photos of the vaccinations/desexing certificates are sent via sms so you have a digital copy. The vaccination booklet & desexing certificate are sent with your kitten.

Visits
As a responsible breeder, the health and safety of our kittens is our top priority. I want every buyer who reserves a Luxafel kitten to feel confident that their kitten is healthy, safe and not put at any risk while in my care.
To maintain this health standard, we have chosen to be a closed cattery to visitors until pickup day.
Unfortunately, visitors can inadvertently walk germs into our home from other catteries they've visited, their own pets or even other roaming animals. For this reason and others related to our safety, we do not offer visits to our home until your kitten is ready to leave. We thank you for your understanding.
